Comedores Santa Maria is a non-profit organization dedicated to feed children that live in extreme poverty conditions.
Learning skills are enhanced by the correct nutrition of the children. Several family values workshops are taught at the dining rooms to increase family communication and reduce family violence.
The Georges and Juliette Aziz Foundation has sponsored the construction of three different dining rooms in Mexico, each with a 250 children capacity.
Each dining room has a team of two cooks, two assistants and a team leader.
The service is divided in two shifts: the first one for babies and the second one for children, the food they receive in the dining room represents eighty percent of their daily intake.
